Mirwaiz condemns violence against demonstrators/APHC leader Nayeem Khan arrested in Mirgund
Srinagar, March :The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the violence of Indian troops against peaceful demonstrators at various places in occupied Kashmir. Addressing a Juma congregation in Srinagar, today, the APHC chairman appealed to the international community to take cognizance of the fact that India was not even ready to allow Kashmiris their democratic right of staging peaceful protests.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq maintained that the Indian police in vengeance were harassing Kashmiri tradesmen and students in different states of India.
Addressing a similar congregation, senior APHC leader, Maulana Abbas Ansari said that the association of genuine Kashmiri leadership with the dialogue process between India and Pakistan was imperative to make it more meaningful and result-oriented.
On the other hand, Indian police personnel arrested APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan at Mirgund on Srinagar-Baramulla highway, today. He was on his way to address a public gathering in Baramulla. The troops raided the office of JKLF-R in Srinagar damaging the office goods.
